Corp holds Harpeth Study in Bellevue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 12, 2013) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is holding a public workshop regarding the Harpeth River Feasibility Study from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 at the Harpeth Valley Elementary School cafeteria located at 7840 Learning Lane in Nashville, Tenn. This location is in the Bellevue area.
 
 
The Corps hosted the first public workshop Nov. 13 in Franklin. The purpose of these meetings is to encourage citizens to participate and provide valuable feedback on water resources issues in the Harpeth River Basin.

 
Areas in the study include Bellevue, Brentwood, Franklin and parts of Williamson County. The public is encouraged to attend and participate and provide valuable feedback on water resources issues in the Harpeth River Basin.

 
Topics being covered at this working meeting include flood risk management, aquatic ecosystem restoration, stream bank erosion, environmental infrastructure, storm water management and recreation.
